● Mondo and his big bro Daiya are the sons of knights in the Kingdom. I haven't determined which family their parents served, but it doesn't matter much because things there were terrible!! Their parents were almost never around, and when they were, things tended to blow up in a big way. Basically it was an absolute mess and this is not how you raise kids. ● So Daiya took Mondo and ran, and along the way they picked up some other kids - usually orphans or other kids dealing with neglect and parental abuse, and they all ended up taking up refuge in a church for awhile. ● The older kids took up odd jobs around town and Daiya and Mondo helped train those who couldn't fight and eventually, this rag-tag group of dumbasses left the church and ended up becoming a band of mercenaries. Over time, they moved into Alliance territory. ● The gang also did a lot of odd jobs and together they saved up a ton of money... which Daiya insisted go to Mondo's education. The group agreed, since Mondo would take over after Daiya passed the gang off, and with Daiya talking about wanting to find a more stable job and position/quit fighting, it made sense to send Mondo. ● So naturally, Mondo started worrying he wasn't up to the task and asked Daiya for a duel to see if he could (finally) hold his own against his big bro. They did this at night, away from the rest of the gang, and with real weapons. Needless to say, this went really poorly. ● Mondo kind of accidentally landed a hit that rendered Daiya's sword arm useless; it would have healed up just fine with healing magic or enough treatment and time, but unfortunately... ● They were attacked by bandits that night, and in the chaos, Daiya was killed. Mondo blames himself for this, since he's the one who injured Daiya, and Daiya was easily the strongest member of their group. Still, they were able to kill the bandits and as far as the rest of the group knew, Daiya had been injured by them, so they didn't blame Mondo for what happened at all. ● He didn't tell them the truth, of course. They would never follow him if they knew. So he kept quiet, and eventually he headed off to Garreg Mach. ● I can go with any house for him, but I'm leaning Golden Deer or Blue Lions! Overall he's pretty much the same minus motorcycles, but he does actually like and support the church. He's not super religious, but the church does some good things, okay!! ● Specializes in: axe, brawl, riding?? Maybe authority if I'm feeling generous. ● Classes: commoner → fighter → brigand/brawler → warrior/grappler → war master. ● No crest, absolutely feels out of place here with all these nobles. Does he look like he has any idea how to talk to a noble?? Oh my god, he's gonna die.
