Oh, sure, he isn't going to be here long, but dragging him all the way out here for very little reason irritates Metodey immensely. He'll be back out here in a few months once the Imperial princess is ready to launch her scheme, but for the time being he's here on business, and boring business at that. He's an assassin, not a messenger.
But of course the princess' loyal vassal doesn't care about that and given that Metodey's position in the army is almost solely on the Vestra's recommendation, playing nice is really his only option. He has to bide his time for just a bit longer until the real bloodshed can begin.
So he showed up, relayed the information the Vestra wanted, and was pointed in the direction of the Abyss. A place hidden beneath the monastery for those cast out of society for whatever boring reason; more importantly, a place where the people won't be missed. It's been far too long since his blade tasted blood, and if the Vestra can't even give him anything fun to do, then he may as well enjoy himself down here.
The guards don't pose a threat. He's even more disappointed by the others. They're civilians - a place hidden away from the light should have some capable warriors to protect it, shouldn't it? And yet all he's found down here are easy kills that have barely required any skill at all.]
Tch. What a disappointment.
[He frees his blade from the only guard who showed up to try to stop him. He hasn't slaughtered everyone down here yet so there may still be hope for a more satisfying kill, but still... Perhaps the Vestra suggested this place solely because it wouldn't be up to his standards. Typical.
Metodey moves quickly and quietly, descending further in and looking through the various rooms and twisting hallways for anyone else who might be more enjoyable here. His hopes aren't high anymore, but there's no sense in leaving so soon.]
[Kronya has been waiting for so long to be able to stab someone. Living this life at the Officer's Academy, attempting to pretend to be some little runaway to infiltrate and keep an eye on the vermin she's supposed to be working for. Living as Monica is a chore, and even if bugging Edel and Hubert is more than worth it's weight in blood, she can't stand it anymore.
It's what sees Kronya out and about tonight, in disguise as she moves about stealthily; she's learned how to do that much on her own, but it does help that the form she has is quite disarming. It gets people to let down their guard. Underestimate her.
All the better for her to sink Athame into and watch the light fade from their eyes.
Still, Abyss...from what she's heard of it, it's just a place full of Fodlan's outsiders. Weaklings, vermin ripe for the killing, and Kronya wants to reap a nice bit of killing as a treat tonight. It's not like any of the useless brats can stop her; sure, Hubert's been trying, but not even he can keep perfect track of her
Needless to say, she's found a fair amount since she got here earlier. Metodey might be able to see at least few dead guards deeper in down one particularly deep and less used hallway, killed messily and horribly. Kronya wouldn't have any less, after all, but the bodies lead to a trail, and the trail itself leads to...
Well, one remarkably bloodless girl exiting a room, with one very bloody knife. It doesn't take long for 'Monica' to notice she's not alone, though, and her reaction time is instant; inhuman, practically, as the brandishes Athame out and stares Metodey down.]
And just what are you doing down here? Come to get in my way, huh?
[There are bodies down here. Has someone else descended into Abyss to kill those who won't be missed? Well, they say great minds think alike and all that, but Metodey finds it fascinating that someone else just so happened to pick today of all days to go on a killing spree.
So for the time being he decides to follow the bodies and the blood, and there she is, the little killer herself.
On the one hand it's almost disappointing that she looks like an ordinary schoolgirl. Nothing particularly dangerous about her aside from the lack of blood on her clothes and the very bloody knife in hand. If he weren't seeing this first-hand, he wouldn't believe it. The guards she's taken out didn't look like pushovers. So she's got some skill, at least.
Metodey smirks at her words, bringing the Venin Edge up in case he needs it, but making no move to advance on her.]
Hardly. I had no idea you were down here. I wasn't expecting to find another so interested in killing the useless trash down here.
[...Huh. It's at least a little clear on Monica's face that she wasn't expecting that--Kronya's never been particularly good at tempering her own reactions (and why should she? it's not like she has that much of a facade to keep up, and she's terrible at it besides), but it's not often that the filthy vermin that populate this world understand the want to kill indiscriminately.
It sees Monica's face shift into something of a grin, once that much wears off. She's not even perturbed or threatened by the Venin Edge, though she doesn't move to put Athame down either in case he decides to strike.]
Wow, you love slaughter as much as I do? Can't say I expected that.
[Kronya can work with this. At the very least, it'll make it fun, won't it?]
Alright. How many of my vermin have you managed to bag so far, huh?
Yours? I wasn't aware anyone had laid claim to the place.
[It's not quite a challenge, instead it's more curiosity. Given the uniform, she's certainly a student here, but it seems unlikely that she's been "hunting" down here very often. Unless the Officers Academy truly doesn't care about the trash that thrive down here, then perhaps their murders have gone unnoticed by those who live above.
Metodey shrugs a bit and answers the question anyway.]
Only the ones I encountered on the way in, which certainly weren't enough to appease me. Six. Three guards, three helpless weaklings. No challenge whatsoever in any of them.
[It's said a little indignantly, but Monica's face doesn't really change from it's current expression--she's honestly not sure what to do with any of this. Sure, it'd be fun to kill this rat--maybe he'd enjoy an actual challenge, and she's more than certain that she'd be able to provide one. He'd die happy, she'd get to gut someone and then get to the rest of these vermin, and it'd all end in fun.
But...that's so simple. That's entirely too simple, and it's honestly not fun, the more she thinks about it. It's not often that Kronya finds anyone who likes to kill as much as she does, and even if he's clearly not an Agarthian, he's...interesting. That's the word she wants to use.
...]
I don't know! I kinda like the lack of challenge; I just love blood and death, and I'm trying to see how many I can bag before I need to leave...
[Monica's look shifts into something more resembling a smile, though it's...off, it's very off--]
But...alright! You're clearly as here for blood and guts as I am, so how about we try to make this fun?
[This girl does have a point. Sure, a challenge would make things more interesting. But at the end of the day, a body's a body whether they left a mark on him or not. So really, isn't there something to be said about the sheer amount of chaos he can leave in his wake?
An interesting idea, and one Metodey is certainly interested in.]
Oh? A competition, perhaps? A chance to see who can pile the most bodies before we need to make ourselves scarce - or do you have something else in mind?
I think half an hour will be enough to let us bag as many of these vermin as we possibly can. Let's see just how much blood and destruction we can cause down here, yeah?
[Monica's gaze goes very alert at the sound of footsteps--looks like they've got company incoming, so make that decision fast, boy.]

Very well! Thirty minutes with the clock starting now!
