- Born Amaya Sasaki of Blackthorn City's Dragon Clan, thankfully in this AU she mostly just grew up in a strict as fuck household rather than the absolute hell that she's been placed in before. Dad was more verbally abusive than anything; he wanted his daughter to live up to her potential and have her succeed as the Gym Leader eventually so he could rake in the credit for it. Amaya, meanwhile, wanted no part in any of that and just wanted to lead her own life. - So what's a ten year old girl to do when you don't even have a Pokemon to your name but desperately need to leave? ...Hop on a boat from Olivine to Literally Anywhere Else and end up in Alola. This girl literally Disney Princess'd her way through half of the region just to sneak on a boat and end up in a place where the culture shock could have very well killed her. - Thankfully, Amaya ended up getting taken in by a very nice family in Alola; she grew up in Malie City, feeling close to home despite being so far away from it. Her mama and papa (she embarrassingly still calls them this in her much older age now. they dote on her immensely and don't mind, but it ruins her cool image instantly--) helped her learn their trade in the city, and through them, she learned how to make some nice clothing that many tourists and citizens alike would buy. But she also longed to train as well, and thus, she asked her parents for a Pokemon; they brought her out to Malie Garden with their supervision so that they could help her catch one. This is how she would obtain her starter Pokemon, Jangmo-o. - ...She admittedly met it by it deciding to chase her around while her parents tried to get it under control, but hey, not all first meetings go perfect--she ended up catching the poor boy by accident just chucking her one Poke Ball at it before running back to her parents, but thankfully, the Jangmo-o wasn't being a jerk! Mostly. It just wanted something sweet that Amaya had been keeping in her pocket. And that's how their friendship started; it turned out that the Jangmo-o had been tossed aside by it's trainer for not being good enough, and thus, their training began. - Eventually, Amaya's training with Jangmo-o (now a big and strong Kommo-o) evolved into her deciding to become a proper, globetrotting trainer of renowned, and after beating all of the Kahunas of the island (but very notably before the league in alola was properly established), Amaya decided to travel the myriad regions and left Alola to travel the world. She often calls her parents to check how they're doing, and she always tries to come and visit them for a few months out of the year. - But while Alola brightened Amaya and broadened her horizons, she still maintains a somewhat stiff and strict demeanor--especially nowadays, given that she's become something of a professional. Her initial travels took her to the Kalos, Sinnoh, and Hoenn regions; the lattermost where she was scouted by Scott to work at one of his battling facilities. She ends up working for the Battle Dome off and on, enjoying the constant slew of strong trainers that would keep her and her growing team satiated in a fight. She'll sometimes go and revisit Kalos as well--especially when the Z-A Royale starts up. - Amaya's probably closest to the Veteran class from BW, at least in terms of trainer aesthetic; she never became Champion of any region or took on any of the Elites, but she does have the badges of every region she's visited thus far. It results in her maintaining a serious and stoic demeanor, but this version of Amaya can smile on occasion. It's just usually around her Pokemon or her adopted family. ...Or something slightly concerning looking when she's in a battle, girl's got that battle bloodlust-- - Team: Kommo-o♀ (Starter), Pangoro♂, Crabominable♂, Haxorus♀, Drampa♂, Goodra♀.
- Waking up in Paldea(? might change this later?) with absolutely no memories whatsoever and having nothing on him including identifying information, Zvei spent the first five years of his life that he can remember struggling to figure out his place in the world. - He was taken in by a kindly older gentleman who saw his unquenchable thirst for knowledge (as he'd forgotten much about the world as well) and directed him to a low level lab position. It wasn't glamorous or fulfilling work, but Zvei took to it like a Ducklett to water. - Within those first five years, he climbed the ranks and was making a name for himself as an academic, even going so far as to shift over from working on tech to Pokemon - he even became a professor's aide! - But the truth is that there was a reason behind his fervent research - he wanted to find a way to restore his memories, believing them to be buried deep within his consciousness. His idea was to utilize Terastallization for such a thing, and thus his interest was in that field. - Unfortunately, after five years, he decided that this was going to be a dead end. It was meant for Pokemon, not people, and he would never get what he wanted from it. - So he abruptly left his work behind and took to traveling. - During those five years, he received his partner Pokemon from the man who helped him get started (Ricardo), a Charcadet. His research led to him evolving into Ceruledge, but don't worry too much about the fact that he's a ghost now!! (unsure) - Zvei's travels took him to Alola to study Z Crystals (another dead end, but he picked up a Mimikyu) and he wandered through the Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh area for awhile, picking up and studying Porygon (and evolving them) for a time. Ultimately, there weren't any strong leads here, but... - They pointed him in the direction of Kalos and Mega Evolution. Seeing as how it was where such a thing was discovered and where new Megas were popping up, it was the perfect place to start the next leg of his journey. - Zvei only remembers the past seven years, but he's accomplished a lot in that time. Now living in Kalos and working on eventually becoming a proper Pokemon Professor (he's going to graduate from the program soon!!) specializing in Mega Evolution, he seems to be doing quite well. - But his lack of memories eats at him, and he's looking into using Mega Evolution on humans to surpass his own limitations... after all, the Malamar he caught is capable of communicating with him through telepathy, but she won't and can't perform such an invasive dive into his consciousness to find his lost memories. So either he has to find a deeply depraved and immoral Psychic-type to do that, or... well, he's more than willing to test out Mega Evolution on himself.
- With no access to whatever his team once was, he had to build a new one from scratch. Zvei's gathered these Pokemon throughout his travels. - He's developed an interest in Psychic-types due to his current research, but has yet to acquire more. - Absolutely dreadful at actually getting his Pokemon to love him, not from abuse or mistreatment, just because he has the emotional capacity of a rock and does not understand the Friendship stat. - He is notably not a proper trainer and has 0 Gym Badges to his name. His Pokemon are all decently high levels from traveling and going out into the wilds in pursuit of his research (he absolutely does field work himself) but he doesn't hold any sort of enjoyment in battles. - His Pokemon are also highly independent; he will literally let them battle for him when he can. They don't argue with his orders, but they're clever enough to not really need them for most battles, since they're typically only fighting wild Pokemon.

Current
- He was taken in by a kindly older gentleman who saw his unquenchable thirst for knowledge (as he'd forgotten much about the world as well) and directed him to a low level lab position. It wasn't glamorous or fulfilling work, but Zvei took to it like a Ducklett to water.
- Within those first five years, he climbed the ranks and was making a name for himself as an academic, even going so far as to shift over from working on tech to Pokemon - he even became a professor's aide!
