[Settling in after their time away has certainly been a bit of a hassle, what with trying to get Leviathan's Claw out of hot water and introducing their newest assassin to the ranks. Dorothy's picked up on the job flawlessly, as expected, and she's been a pleasure to work with (and bully, because he likes putting her in the stupid uniform and will continue to do so for as long as he can). Though the majority of the members of Leviathan's Claw have settled in fairly well to this new addition and their boss's sudden interest in someone he's sending lots of letters to, Gauche and Droite have not been quite so dismissive.
In fact, Yeager needed to take them on a little day tour to meet up with Sonic and pals just to actually explain all of this to them. Unsurprisingly, the girls and the talking animals hit it off and they're constantly asking to go back and skateboard with Sonic, but this is a worthy price to pay for the girls to be more accepting of Yeager's latest brand of insanity.
They've also adapted to Dorothy quite well, treating her as their coworker, but with enough respect so as not to risk upsetting Yeager. Droite is a master of toeing this line and her sister frequently has to apologize for her. Regardless, life in the Manor of the Wicked is as interesting as ever, and Yeager wouldn't have it any other way.
Speaking of, the boss of Leviathan's Claw arrives on scene shortly after, waving for his guards to stop rushing to attention.]
And here I was worried that you'd be late! Come on in before you're attacked by any more monsters.
[Such are the perils of living out in the middle of nowhere...
The Manor of the Wicked has undergone some changes since Raven was last here. When Brave Vesperia "visited" (read: broke in like savages) the place was a bit of a mess, as if it wasn't properly finished yet with the decor and unpacking both. That isn't the case any longer; Yeager's not only had more time to devote to sprucing up the place, but also the energy and desire - and now the place actually looks like a proper den of villainy. Still too refined for a member of the guilds, but that's sort of the point. The members of Leviathan's Claw they cross don't seem particularly bothered or surprised to see Raven and they'll let him come and go as he likes now that Dorothy's made damn sure they won't be particularly fussy about him, specifically.]
[It's an absolute delight to reach the Manor grounds and see Dorothy waiting for him. She looks as radiant as ever, even in a place like this (no offense Yeager).]
Dorothy darlin'!
[Raven grins and trots up to meet Dorothy halfway, throwing his arms around her to give her a nice, big hug. It's the kind of affection he always used to joke about, but every bit of it is genuine now.]
No kiddin'. [He returns her kiss easily. Avert thine eyes, guards.] I had ta fight tooth an' nail just ta get this outin'. But I promise ya, it ain't long 'til I'll finally be free of my trainin' duties.
[The woes of also being second in command of the head guild of the Union........seriously, how'd he wind up with so much responsibility?
Raven starts to regale Dorothy with the perils he faced on the way over that were totally no issue for him until he catches sight of Yeager at the entrance.]
Ya say that while takin' yer sweet time comin' out ta greet me!
[He's just messing, of course, so he punctuates that with a wink. He offers Dorothy his arm to lead her back inside the manor. Yeager doesn't get by without an affectionate pat on the shoulder, either. He'd try to sneak a kiss if he wasn't at a height disadvantage. Alas.
Once they're inside...]
Well, wouldja look at that. [He wanders further in, taking in the sights.] Ya sure are takin' the whole "of the Wicked" thing ta heart, aren't ya? The vibes suit ya, though.
[Dorothy is gladly going to return that hug and absolutely listens to Raven going on about his woes, though she chuckles a bit at them--she knows her dear Raven wouldn't let something as simple as all of that get him down, but she's ever good at remaining an ear for her dear old man's woes and pains. It's the least she can do when they've been apart for so long, right?
Once Yeager comes out to greet them, Dorothy can't help but smile further as she gladly takes Raven's offered arm to lead him back inside alongside her dear Yeager. She even holds out a hand for him if he wants to take it, but right now, the moment is perfect and she wouldn't trade it for the damned world.
Dorothy finds herself leaning against Raven as they go inside, and while she's used to the manor's looks by now--it's certainly gaudy to say the least, but there's something about Yeager's maximalist designing that resonates with Dorothy. It looks rather for a guild of assassins, along with almost feeling classy. Dorothy certainly can't complain too much about it, given that she's been rather used to spartan accommodations before.]
It truly does; Yeager's done quite the lovely job of making this manor his own, and I've loved seeing every step of it. I wager it almost feels like a home by now. [Dorothy chuckles a bit, almost breezily.] It's just delightful. Don't you agree, Yeager?
[Raven's words earn a pleased laugh from him, and then Dorothy's offering her hand and Yeager can never say no to that. In we go, holding hands the whole way.]
Don't they? I thought it was about time we properly spruced the place up!
[Dorothy's words get a nod as well, and Yeager can't help but look pleased with the praise.]
There is still plenty I'd like to do... but I wanted to ensure most of the work was done by the time you got here, Raven.
[So it'd be different from the last time; an obvious reminder that things are very different now. Though that's far too sentimental to say out loud, so he won't!!]
