charlotte/xander's a support, but this time it's camilla and it's a c support
[These battles haven't gotten any easier, even since Camilla defected to Corrin's side. When her little Corrin had decided to chose nobody's side in a war that would shake up the very foundation of the world, Camilla's heart had been broken irreparably. She had spent a lot of that time in a deep depression--wondering where she had gone wrong, just what she had done to drive her precious Corrin away. And when the time came, that Father ordered her to be the executioner...well, it hadn't been any easier for Camilla to know she'd be the one to put her adorable little sister to death.
And yet, that didn't come to pass. Sure, fighting against Xander did not prove to be easier, and their battle against the Nohrian Forces in Port Dia was only marginally easier. It certainly helps that they have more allies by their side now; more people fighting against this mysterious force that Corrin has spoken of, and all the more reason to try and talk sense into her stupid brothers. But that will have to wait; they have business to take care of with the Rainbow Sage, first.
Of course, along the way, they do have to deal with some Faceless--pesky damn things, aren't they? And it's there that one of their number seems to go missing, once the battle is won. Camilla naturally volunteers to go after the person in question; Marzia does need a nice, good flight to stretch her wings some, and Camilla will be more than happy to oblige her darling wyvern.
Once they take to the air, it's not long before Camilla finds their missing number; a lovely looking blonde, left behind to take care of the last Faceless. Odd, it seems, that she would have gotten separated; what was her name, Charlotte? She had emphasized that she was quite the delicate maiden, but that she wanted to assist them. Doing something like this seems counter-product...ive...
...
Did she just punch that Faceless in it's lack of face. Camilla had begun descending down to assist the woman in question, but that descent allows Camilla to see, in full view, Charlotte punch that damn Faceless to death.
Camilla's never believed in love at first sight, but hot damn is this making her come very close to it. Camilla will call out to the other woman though, once she's done--]
My, darling. I was worried that you might be in a little bit of trouble, but you certainly showed no mercy to that Faceless, did you?

It's no trouble, dear. Just hold on nice and tight, and we'll be back with the others before you know it.
[Camilla signals for Marzia to take off, and they're airborne!! Camilla seems more than pleased, though she keeps an eye out over the field...]
Have you ever ridden a wyvern before, Charlotte?
[...Camilla, you probably should've asked this first??? But either way, Camilla is nothing if not curious.]

And then they're airborne and it gets a tiny gasp from Charlotte that's only half for show if she's being generous. The ground gets smaller beneath them, and Charlotte isn't sure if she wants to lean out over the wyvern to see more of the shrinking surroundings or if she wants to bury her face in Camilla's hair and not look down at all.]
I— No, never, it's... fascinating, really...
[There's a note of awe in her voice, and the whole things sounds a bit too close to genuine, but Charlotte's not really paying attention to that as she is the feeling of being up in the air like this and the wyvern's movements beneath them. She's seen plenty of wyvern riders, sure, but she's never had a chance to actually fly with one.]

Beautiful, isn't it? Flying through the skies like this, and getting a new perspective of the world below...all be told, it's why I love to fly myself.
Marzia has shown me some lovely sights in our flights together, after all.
[That's remarkably genuine from Camilla's end too, and...well, it's nice to talk to Charlotte without her putting on an act. Marzia continues to press forward while Camilla directs her, taking care not to jostle them too much.]

[The freedom of flying through the air is fantastic, but she's seen Camilla fight and Charlotte wasn't lying about how impressed she is by the teamwork required. She and Benny work pretty flawlessly together, but they're able to communicate and yell at each other if they need to change tactics. How does Camilla ride and command a wyvern well enough to swing an axe and cut people down without risking injury to herself or her mount? How does one even learn to do that, much less actually tame a wyvern in the first place? They seem far more dangerous and wild than the pegasi.]

I would often go to the castle's stables as a child; though there was much that I was expected to do, I found far more fun in watching the stablehands work, and would often go and say hello to the wyverns. [Camilla pats Marzia's head as she speaks, getting a pleased noise from the wyvern.] That's where I met my precious Marzia. I expressed my interest in learning how to ride, and though there was some resistance at first...I was able to learn how to properly care for, and handle the sweet wyverns I had grown to love so much.
[...]
However, I do confess...I did have some slight experience in riding them, before I was allowed to do so. The stables aren't exactly guarded at night, and Marzia trusted me enough to ride her even when I was young...
[camilla is absolutely implying that she's taken marzia on joyrides]

I bet they would've been furious if they caught you! It sounds like it would've been pretty fun.
[It makes sense that the Nohrian royals were involved in taking care of animals, since all four of them have a mount they take into battle. It's only Lady Camilla that takes to the skies, though, and honestly, Charlotte wonders why none of the others ended up training with wyverns.]
This is so exhilarating! I can see why you wanted to learn to ride one!
no subject
[Probably literally, knowing Nohr, but we're not focusing on that--]
It's why I love riding my sweet darling so. The sights I can see from atop her are always so lovely...but I must admit, getting to see the experience of someone riding them for the first time is just as much so.
[Camilla giggles a bit--Charlotte's still being real cute, okay.]
Perhaps if you'd like, I wouldn't mind taking you up a little more often...and maybe we could see about teaching you, hm? A lovely girl like you would probably appreciate the extra protection...
[That isn't quite the reason--Camilla honestly thinks that Charlotte would make for a kick ass wyvern rider and it'd make her even stronger, but Camilla is, if nothing else, a little willing to play along.]
no subject
[Hmm. Wyvern Riders are generally regarded as really tough, but maybe she could play it off like she needs the extra protection of a wyvern. Maybe the wyvern's the one doing all the battling...? Would people buy that? It seems possible, sure, but maybe she's getting ahead of herself. She doesn't want to draw too much attention to herself on the battlefield, after all.]
Well, I'd like to go riding with you more, at least! Learning how to tame a wyvern seems like a big task, but I guess we can see how it goes.
[Wouldn't it be amazing, though? To have a partner like this and to take to the skies whenever she wants? Fighting together as a team would be impressive too... She'll definitely have to give it some serious thought.]
no subject
I would love to see just how well you take to it. Come find me once when you feel up to it, hm? I'd be more than happy to make time for you.
But please don't hesitate to call on me if you just want to fly sometime, darling. Marzia and I certainly don't mind.
[Camilla can't quite look back at Charlotte, and any attempt at a wink would be hilariously ineffective with Camilla's hairstyle, but there's definitely an implied one in there. For sure, as we get closer to the army again--looks like they've stopped for the time being, at least.]
no subject
But anyway, the rest of the army is coming into view, and Charlotte reminds herself that she needs to be exactly what they expect and want of her. Time to slip the mask back on. Though really, she's not entirely sure when it started coming off...]
Thank you so, so much for helping me out, Lady Camilla! I just don't know where I would be if you hadn't been there to help!
no subject
[They will be able to land easily enough, at least; everyone seems pleased to see them, if nothing else, even if the only one who looks like they're about to accost them are Corrin and Elise at the moment.]
Not that I mind looking out for someone like you.
[Camilla will get off, though, and offer Charlotte a hand to help her down as well.]
no subject
Thanks so much! You're so sweet, Lady Camilla. I'll see you later!
[And with that, Charlotte quickly makes her escape. Time to lie low and hopefully not draw any more attention to herself.]
