[Marianne will gladly look through the books, then; she's careful to not take them out and mostly just read the covers and see if there's something she likes from that alone. Of course, she will pluck one or two out just for the sake of it--a couple books on the Alliance's history, but then she goes over to the books on the ledge near the window...
